This electrode does not require the use of a separate reference electrode. The pH sensing tip is completely flat unlike most bulb shaped glass probes making the measurement of surfaces such as cheese, agar, skin and paper as simple as measuring a buffer solution.

The probe is easy to clean with no hidden crevices. The TEFLON annular reference junction provides a good contact with the sample to provide excellent stability. The Glass bulb is of the same low resistance glass used by research electrodes ensuring a fast response.

The E8087 pH combination electrode comes complete with a 1 metre fixed cable and a BNC connector. This means the electrode is compatible with all EDT pH meters and most modern alternatives.

Calibration is normally performed using two pH buffer solutions and a temperature probe for Automatic temperature compensation (ATC). To view a simple pH calibration click here.
