Half Cells an mini ISE's require the use of a separate reference electrode. For ISEs that do not suffer Potassium or Chloride interference a standard Calomel reference is ideal. For all other applications a Double Junction reference electrode is required. Mini ISEs can be used as the main component of self-build ISEs where specific dimensions or physical properties are required.
